    Analisis Proses Kreatif Mendesain Lukisan "Diskusi" Alvian Anta Putra

    When we look at a painting, we certainly think that what has been examined contains elements of aesthetic and symbolic value involving a structured understanding of creative thinking. For the painter, it requires several creative processes in painting a work of art so that it can be created into a highly valuable masterpiece. The painting 'Discussion' was created in 2017. In the painting, figures of people with emoticons on their faces are seen holding phones, which, when associated with today's society, prioritize their phones over the surrounding environment. The issue under study began with the author's interest in an owner of a painting by a well-known young artist. The author was particularly intrigued when research revealed that the painting won an annual painting competition, 'The Most Promising Emerging Artist UOB Painting of the Year 2017.' The author then decided to make it the object of a research study. Behind the painting that is equivalent to such a competition, there is undoubtedly a creative process to design it. The data collection technique involves observation. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research. This study aims to analyze the creative process of creating the painting 'Discussion' using Choudary's 2019 theory, consisting of five stages of the creative design process: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test. The results of this analysis hope to yield new findings that can be discovered through research on the creative process of designing paintings. This research is expected to provide new insights for artists or readers who enjoy designing paintings

    Analisis Poster Film “Saya Nikahkan” Menggunakan Pendekatan Semiotika Roland Barthes

    Movie posters are often used as promotional media to communicate the content or conflict of the story contained in a movie. Various visual elements contained in the poster contain signs. These signs will later have a meaning that will try to convey to the audience. The science that studies signs is semiotics. Semiotics studies the theory of signs in the context of scenarios, images, texts or scenes in movies that can be interpreted. This research will discuss the analysis of the movie poster "Saya Nikahkan" using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach. The result of this research is known that the design of the movie poster "Saya Nikahkan" is full of messages that try to reveal the plot and the main story of the movie which will be discussed in this paper.

    ABSTRAK

    Poster film sering digunakan sebagai media promosi untuk mengkomunikasikan isi atau konflik cerita yang terkandung dalam suatu film. Berbagai elemen visual yang terkandung pada poster mengandung tanda. Tanda-tanda inilah yang nantinya akan memiliki makna yang akan coba disampaikan pada audiens. Ilmu yang mempelajari tentang tanda adalah semiotika. Dalam ilmu semiotika mempelajari teori tentang tanda dalam suatu konteks skenario, gambar, teks ataupun adegan dalam film yang dapat dimaknai. Dalam penelitian ini akan membahas analisis poster film “Saya Nikahkan” menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes. Hasil dari penelitian ini diketahui bahwa desain poster film “Saya Nikahkan” sarat akan pesan yang berusaha mengungkapkan alur dan pokok cerita film tersebut yang akan didiskusikan dalam tulisan ini.

    Kajian Karya Poster ''Comic Frontier 13'' Oleh Faiz Azhar

    This article aims to analyze the "Comic Frontier 13" poster from a design perspective designed by Faiz Azhar, a freelance designer and illustrator. This poster is a work that answers a problem or fulfills a client's wishes, depicts the life of a futuristic modern society and highlights the anime community or Japanese culture in Jakarta and its surroundings. The research uses qualitative methods with design thinking theory which includes the Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test stages. The process of making a poster involves discussion with the client, determining a theme, exploring ideas, and implementing it in prototype form. The result is a key visual that is not only visually attractive but also reflects the futuristic city of Jakarta with the style of famous characters from Japanese culture, namely Anime characters. This article provides insight into the creative process in poster design, from understanding the client's needs to visual implementation. The success of this poster can be seen from the positive response from visitors, confirming the importance of design thinking in creating work that fulfills client desires and responds to the needs of the target market. This shows that design thinking can be an effective approach in designing meaningful work.

    Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis poster "Comic Frontier 13" dari perspektif desain yang dirancang oleh Faiz Azhar, seorang desainer dan illustrator freelance. Poster ini menjadi karya yang menjawab permasalahan atau memenuhi keinginan klien, menggambarkan kehidupan masyarakat modern futuristik dan menghighlight komunitas Anime atau budaya Jepang di Jakarta dan sekitarnya. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teori desain thinking yang mencakup tahap Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype dan Test. Proses pembuatan poster melibatkan pembahasan dengan klien, penentuan tema, eksplorasi ide, dan implementasi dalam bentuk prototype. Hasilnya adalah key visual yang tidak hanya visual menarik tetapi juga merefleksikan kota Jakarta yang futuristik dengan style karakter terkenal dari budaya jepang yaitu karakter Anime. Artikel ini memberikan wawasan tentang proses kreatif dalam desain poster, dari pemahaman kebutuhan klien hingga implementasi visual. Keberhasilan poster ini dapat dilihat dari respon positif pengunjung, menegaskan pentingnya desain thinking dalam menciptakan karya yang memenuhi keinginan klien dan merespon kebutuhan target pasar, hal ini memperlihatkan bahwa desain thinking dapat menjadi pendekatan yang efektif dalam merancang karya yang berarti.

    Analisis Karya Digital "Man in Blow" Menggunakan Teori Semiotika Roland Barthes

    This research aims to understand the meaning and elements of each object and fine art principles contained in the artwork entitled "Man In Blow" from Acong and identity in digital painting, with a focus on the techniques and meaning behind digital art. Next, this research will analyze the symbolic and spiritual aspects of the work, focusing on the way in which the objects and colors reflect the cultural values and identity contained. Through in-depth interviews with artists, this research will explore how digital art works are not just a medium that is considered as decoration. This research is aimed at opening insight into the relationship between digital art and identity, as well as how digital art techniques can become a form of expression. the strong one. It is hoped that the results of the analysis will provide a deeper understanding of how digital art can be a means of celebrating and maintaining cultural values, as well as how this work of art can be a reflection of the complexity of modern identity in the digital era. It is hoped that the conclusions of this research will contribute to the development of our understanding of digital art and its role in shaping the identity of artists and society more broadly. Furthermore, this research will analyze the symbolic and spiritual aspects of the work, focusing on the way in which objects and colors reflect values -the cultural values and identity contained. Through in-depth interviews with artists, this research will explore how digital artwork is not only a medium that is considered as decoration, but also as a medium that contains deep meaning and represents a reflection of the spiritual or philosophical journey of digital painters. The method used is the method descriptive qualitative, using the application of Roland Barthes' semiotic theory through the meaning of signifiers and signifieds to determine the meaning of the relationship between denotation, connotation and ideology contained in the illustrations.

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami makna dan unsur dari setiap objek maupun prinsip seni rupa yang terkandung di dalam karya seni bertajuk “Man In Blow” dari Acong dan identitas dalam seni lukis digital, dengan fokus pada teknik dan makna di balik seni digital art. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini akan menganalisis aspek simbolis dan spiritual karya, dengan fokus pada cara di mana objek dan warna mencerminkan nilai-nilai budaya dan identitas yang terkandung. Melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pelaku seni, penelitian ini akan mengeksplorasi bagaimana karya seni digital tidak hanya menjadi media yang dianggap sebagai hiasan saja. Penelitian ini diarahkan untuk membuka wawasan tentang keterkaitan antara seni digital dan identitas, serta bagaimana teknik seni rupa digital dapat menjadi suatu bentuk ekspresi yang kuat. Hasil analisis diharapkan dapat memberikan pemahaman lebih mendalam tentang bagaimana seni digital dapat menjadi sarana untuk merayakan dan mempertahankan nilai-nilai budaya, serta bagaimana karya seni ini dapat menjadi cerminan dari kompleksitas identitas modern dalam era digital. Kesimpulan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi terhadap pengembangan pemahaman kita tentang seni rupa digital dan peranannya dalam membentuk identitas seniman dan masyarakat secara lebih luas. Selanjutnya, penelitian ini akan menganalisis aspek simbolis dan spiritual karya, dengan fokus pada cara di mana objek dan warna mencerminkan nilai-nilai budaya dan identitas yang terkandung. Melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pelaku seni, penelitian ini akan mengeksplorasi bagaimana karya seni digital tidak hanya menjadi media yang dianggap sebagai hiasan saja, tetapi juga sebagai medium yang mengandung makna mendalam dan merepresentasikan cerminan dari perjalanan spiritual atau filosofis pelukis digital, lalu metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif, dengan menggunakan penerapan teori semiotika Roland Barthes melalui pemaknaan penanda (signifier) dan petanda (signified) untuk mengetahui makna pada relasi tanda denotasi, konotasi dan ideologi yangterdapat dalam illustrasinya.

    Analisis Lukisan “Kakak dan Adik” Menggunakan Teori Semiotika Ferdinand De Saussure

    The material object examined in this research is a painting entitled "Brother and Sister" by Basuki Abdullah. To obtain theoretical results, the analysis was carried out by applying a qualitative approach. This analysis was carried out with the aim of finding out the concepts or ideas and meanings that shape the beauty of the shape of the object used, the colors chosen, and the overall message to be conveyed through this painting. This feeling emerged when the painter was in the frenzy of social change which was the impact of changes in the nation's economic system at that time. This analysis technique is carried out by collecting articles that contain the meaning of a work. Apart from that, the analysis technique is also carried out by using library research and online data searches. In this way, it is found that each element in the painting "Brother and Sister" indeed contains aesthetic values. This can be seen from how these elements need each other to explain the overall meaning of empathy, compassion and humanity. This feeling emerged when the painter was in the frenzy of social change which was the impact of changes in the nation's economic system at that time.

    Objek material yang diteliti dalam penelitian ini adalah karya seni lukis berjudul “Kakak dan Adik” karya Basuki Abdullah. Untuk mendapatkan hasil yang teoritis, maka analisis dilakukan dengan menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui konsep atau ide serta makna yang membentuk keindahan dari bentuk objek yang digunakan, warna yang dipilih, hingga keseluruhan pesan yang hendak disampaikan melalui lukisan ini. Rasa tersebut muncul ketika pelukis berada dalam hiruk pikuk perubahan sosial yang merupakan dampak dari perubahan sistem ekonomi bangsa kala itu. Teknik analisis ini dilakukan dengan cara mengumpulkan artikel yang berisikan mengenai pemaknaan terhadap suatu karya selain itu juga teknik analisis dilakukan dengan cara menggunakan studi Pustaka dan penelusuran data online. Dengan ini didapati bahwa tiap unsur dalam lukisan “Kakak dan Adik” memang memuat nilai-nilai keindahan. Hal itu terlihat dari bagaimana unsur-unsur tersebut saling membutuhkan dalam menjelaskan makna keseluruhan mengenai rasa empati pada kasih sayang dan kemanusiaan. Rasa tersebut muncul ketika pelukis berada dalam hiruk pikuk perubahan sosial yang merupakan dampak dari perubahan sistem ekonomi bangsa kala itu.
